READ TIME 3 MIN – Our new mug design has been released! On Tuesday, November 1st, our 2022 Official Media Sponsor Chicago Star, presented the design of this year’s annual Christkindlmarket mug.
Our so-called “Dancing Mug” is inspired by the City of Chicago that has been celebrating the “Year of Dance” in 2022. When holding the mug, you’ll notice that it bends a little bit to one side, just as if it was dancing to the cheerful sounds of holiday music. This shape is absolutely unique and one that we have never had in previous years.
In addition to our annual Glühwein mug, we continue our non-alcoholic beverage mug series with a dancing girl penguin. Since it is the first time ever that we are having a female penguin mug, our visitors have the unique chance to participate in a naming contest between on Instagram between November 4 – 7, 2022 for the chance to enter and win a pair of mugs.
Starting November 18th, our annual mug can be bought at our market locations in Aurora, Chicago, and Wrigleyville, as well as in our online shop.

We are also so excited to bring back the annual Christkindlmarket ornament in 2022, hand made and glass blown by our vendor Dom itp! This year’s edition is very limited and only available at the Christkindlmarket Chicago. It looks like one of our our iconic red and white striped wooden booths and has the year engraved on it.
All other official Christkindlmarket merchandise will be sold at all three market locations. Since availability is limited, we are selling these special items solely on-site!
