Recipes will be sent out beforehand so you can tick everything off your shopping list before it’s go-time. Guten Appetit! \nThe Christkindlmarket is joining forces with the Chopping Block this year to bring you a piece of traditional German culture to the comfort of your own home. Join us for virtual German cooking demonstrations via Zoom featuring German Chopping Block Chef\, Hans Mooser\, in November and December. \nThis virtual class is being co-sponsored with The Chopping Block. \nMenu: \n\nPork Stew (Geschnetzeltes vom Schwein)\nFresh Herb Spätzle\n\nSkills covered in class: \n\nSelecting and sautéing pork\nDredging\nMaking a pan sauce\nDetermining pork doneness\nMaking batter\nBoiling dumplings\n\nOur Virtual Cooking Demonstrations\, via Zoom\, are a fun opportunity to watch your chef in action. During class\, your chef will teach you how to prepare the dishes while you observe and take notes. Our Zoom moderator will make sure your questions submitted through the chat option are answered during or after class. The recipe packet will be provided upon registration. Please note that some recipe steps may be prepared ahead due to the length of the class. \nSince the Chopping Block Stores remain closed for COVID-19\, unfortunately\, they cannot accept gift cards as a form of payment for virtual classes at this time.
